Configure to your requirements

  • In Tetra Planner®, the planning process revolves around configuration, data entry, and analysis under each of the four aspects.
  • At any point in time, configuration and/or data may be changed, and the impact is determined real-time.
  • The ease in which you can modify your plan is vital as project parameters inevitably change during the estimating and planning process.

 Schedule

  • The Schedule aspect of your plan is defined through the configuration of Stages.
  • Approximate durations are entered initially, but can be changed at any time.
  • One particular Start or End Date is chosen as the "driver", from which all other dates will be determined.

Skill Sets

  • The Skill Sets you configure represent the skills and capabilities required to complete your project.
  • They can also be utilized to represent specific resources.
  • A rate per hour and overhead % are captured to drive costing.
  • A Skill Set Type is assigned that enables costs to be segregated in the analysis reports (e.g. Internal and External).

 Scope

  • The Scope definition process begins with the configuration of Work Streams.
  • These represent the logical sub-divisions of your project that are to be quantified.
  • Under the Work Streams, individual requirements are then captured as Work Products.
  • Skill Sets and effort hours (via Modeling Variables) are assigned per Stage.

 Cost

  • The key reports for analyzing and reviewing your planning results are organized under the Cost aspect.
  • These reports can be accessed at any time during the estimating process.
  • It is here where you will determine if your project is appropriately balanced, and if not, which aspect needs to be addressed.
